Buckeyes win first four games before falling to Brownwood

COLLEGE STATION — The Gilmer Buckeyes experienced an unwanted bit of déjà vu Friday morning under a blazing July sky at the Fox Sports Southwest 7-on-7 State Tournament, as the Brownwood Lions edged them out, 36-35, eliminating Gilmer from the Championship Bracket in Division II for the second consecutive year.

Buckeyes travel to College Station

The Gilmer Buckeyes open play at the State 7-on-7 Tournament Division II in College Station Thursday. Teams in Division II come from classes 3A, 2A and 1A.
