The Gilmer-Tatum high school football game on Friday, Sept. 2 will be showcased as the “DQ Big Game of the Week” on FOX Sports Southwest’s HIGH SCHOOL SCOREBOARD LIVE show (Friday, Sept. 2, midnight CT, replayed Saturday, Sept. 3, 9 AM CT).

Buckeyes Coach Jeff Traylor reflects on football and life

A YEAR AGO the Gilmer Buckeyes were trying to figure out how to replace 26 seniors who graduated off the 2009 undefeated State Championship team. They managed to find a way to make it three rounds deep in the playoffs and carve a 9-4 record.

Coach Traylor is still excited

“I really love the kids. I’m just as excited to coach now as when I began,” Gilmer High School Head Coach and Athletic Director Jeff Traylor told the Gilmer Rotary Club Tuesday.
