Buckeyes head west to play Van Alstyne in Forney Friday night

THE GILMER BUCKEYES are now the fifth Gilmer team since 2003 to get off to a 12-0 start. Two of the previous four won state championships. These Buckeyes, in spite of and also no doubt because of the adversity they have experienced, very much want to become the third GHS team to get championship rings. They must also contend with one of the loudest, most passionate and, especially come playoff time, best-traveling fan bases around. Gilmer vs. Van - Game Information

Tickets for the Class 3A Division II Area Round game between The Gilmer Buckeyes and The Van Vandals will be available beginning Tuesday, November 15th at 8:00 a.m. at the GISD administration building at 500 S Trinity Street. Tickets will be available through Thursday, November 17th. All tickets, both student and adult, will be $5.00 and all tickets at the gate will $7.00. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 Friday, November 18th at Lobo Stadium in Longview. The Buckeyes will be the “visiting” team.
