“I’VE HAD better days,” Coach Jeff Traylor said Sunday after his Gilmer Buckeyes had lost a hard-fought game to the Tatum Eagles two nights before. After fast start in Tyler, Buckeyes return home to face Tatum

THE GILMER BUCKEYES gathered in the middle of the field after their first scrimmage in Whitehouse on a mid-August Saturday morning to hear Coach Jeff Traylor mostly praise them for their performance. He had one complaint, though: not enough “big plays” on offense.
