Everyone in America knows football is king in Texas, and even so more in bEast Texas, so no one has been surprised about all the discussions and rumors about what would happen with high school football in the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rumors ranged from total cancellation of the season, to starting at the end of September as the TAPPS schools decided to do to postponing until the spring in hopes things would get better. All of those rumors were put to rest Tuesday morning when the UIL sent out a press release with their decision.
