For the second straight week, the Gilmer Buckeyes face a proud program desperate for a win. This week it is the Carthage Bulldogs who hope to use tonight’s game against the Buckeyes as a turning point for their season.

Tickets for Carthage game

Advance tickets are on sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday at the Gilmer ISD Administration Building on Trinity St.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. All tickets at the gate will cost $6.

The Buckeyes take on the Carthage Bulldogs in the KYKX Game of the Week. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, at Lobo Stadium in Longview.

Undefeated Gilmer Moves Up To No. 3 In Latest Associated Press Class 4A Poll

The Gilmer Buckeyes, fresh off a 61-9 rout of Daingerfield that improved them to 4-0 on the season, moved up to two spots to No. 3 in this week’s Associated Press Class 4A poll.

Tickets for the football game against Tatum at Eagle Stadium in Tatum will be available at the GISD Administration Building on Trinity Street through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Each season Gilmer head football coach Jeff Traylor usually expects to see the most improvement from his team between game one and game two. Based on the Buckeyes’ performance against Liberty-Eylau in game one; that will be a tough order this season.

Tickets for the football game in Pine Tree will be available at GISD administration on Trinity street Tues - Thurs. from 8:00-3:00 each day. Adult tickets are $5.00 and student tickets are $3.00. All tickets at the gate are $6.00. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30.
