Gilmer game against Nevada Community in Nevada moved to Thursday night

Gilmer ISD Supt. Rick Albritton announced on Tuesday that the football game between the Gilmer Buckeyes and the Nevada Community Braves in Nevada has been moved from a Friday 7:30 p.m. kickoff as originally scheduled to a 7 p.m. Thursday kickoff time. Heavy weather is forecast to have moved into Collin County by Friday night. The freshman and junior varsity games against Community here will now begin at 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Gilmer-Bullard game postponed to 4 p.m. Saturday

Video: Bullard Panthers @ Gilmer Buckeyes Postponed to Saturday, Oct 24, at 4 p.m.                 Gilmer ISD Supt. Rick Albritton made the decision to postpone tonight's scheduled game between the Gilmer Buckeyes and the Bullard Panthers. The game was supposed to kick off here at Jeff Traylor Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Friday night. However, lightning persisted along with steady and sometimes heavy rain until the decision was made at about 8:45 p.m. to postpone the game. Kickoff is now slated for 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Jeff Traylor Stadium. Check this space to make sure that is still the case as gametime approaches on Saturday. He missed the first half of the regular season due to injury.  Gilmer (6-0, 1-0) travels to Canton (3-3, 1-0) on Friday night, Oct. 16. Gilmer has now won a school record 22 games in a row and 24 consecutive home games.
