Buckeyes 'learned a lot' in state 7-on-7 tourney

The Gilmer Buckeyes faced the eventual state champion Brownwood Lions in the first game of the championship round Friday and lost 45-26.

“It was a positive experience,” said Athletic Director Jeff Traylor as he evaluated his players’ weekend in College Station at the Fox Sports Southwest 7-on-7 State Championship. “We learned a lot.”
