Palestine, White Oak qualify for state at Gilmer 7 on 7 SQT



Both pool winners suffered defeats Saturday afternoon here at the Gilmer 7 on 7 State Qualifying Tournament and the runners-up in their respective pools qualified for the 7 on 7 State Tournament in College Station next month.

Gilmer, which had gone undefeated in pool play here Saturday morning, fell to White Oak in overtime, 21-20, while Pittsburg, which won the pool held at Pirate Stadium, fell to Palestine.

The Buckeyes will attempt to qualify for state again on Saturday, June 18, at the Spring Hill SQT.

Ticket information

  Tickets are now available to purchase online for our home game against Pine Tree this Friday. Go to gilmerisd.org and scroll down to “Box Office”. General Admission tickets are $8. Student tickets are available until noon on Friday for $5. Tickets will be sold at the gate (cash only) for $8. No student tickets will be sold at gate. Orange cards will be honored!
